Dan the Democrat

I map American elections precinct by precinct.

FIG. 1  The Oklahoma runoff precinct atlas. I built and published it this August as independent elections analysis. Pick a race, tap a precinct, switch the layers.

Ask me for a map of your turf.

If you lead a Young Dems chapter or a state federation, I will build you a precinct map of your area for free. Your districts, your turnout, the ground you organize on. This is what I already do as YDA’s volunteer Chief Data Officer, and it is what I want every chapter to have by default.

DM me your county or district. That is the whole process.

Why I’m running

Every chapter should see the ground it stands on.

I’m a data person from Oklahoma. I spent years driving county to county, collecting precinct lines from local election boards that nobody had digitized, and turning them into tools organizers can use.

What I kept seeing on those drives: the chapters doing the hardest organizing, in red states and rural counties, get the least support and the least information. That’s backwards, and it’s fixable. I’m running for Executive Vice President of the Young Democrats of America to fix it.

Plank 01

Organizing everywhere

A party that only contests safe seats loses the next generation. YDA belongs in every state, and the people doing the hardest work deserve real support, not leftovers.

Plank 02

Data for every chapter

Turnout targets, precinct maps, and voter analysis shouldn’t be a luxury for the biggest states. Every chapter that wants these tools should have them, with training to match.

Plank 03

Community that outlasts a cycle

Institutions outlive candidates. I want to leave YDA with the systems and the people to keep the next generation of leaders strong long after this race ends.
